Trigonella-foenum-graecum
Strongly aromatic herb, and the seeds of the plant are used. It contains a volatile oil, flavonoids, mucilage, protein, Vitamins A, B & C, alkaloids, saponins and some minerals. The seeds can aid in recovery from illness and to encourage weight gain.

They can also help in lowering a fever, and can also increase breast milk production. It is also thought to be antidiabetic and to help lower blood cholesterol levels. 

WARNING: Do not feed to pregnant mares as it may stimulate uterus contractions.
